“Worries are like heavy bags – empty them.”
This hand-painted linocut print offers a simple reminder to let go of mental weight and return to ease. Created in dark blue ink on delicate white mulberry paper, it carries a quiet message of release and lightness.
A playful metaphor for making worries visible—and therefore lighter. The image suggests that simplicity can open space for clarity and emotional freedom.
mulberry paper
Mulberry paper is made from the inner bark of the mulberry tree. The bark can be harvested without cutting the tree down, as it grows back over time, which makes it a sustainable material.
I love to work with this paper because it has a natural, soft feel and a slightly irregular texture. to me it looks a bit like silk — a comparison that makes sense when you think about how silkworms feed on the leaves of the mulberry tree.
For me, it’s a simple, honest material that fits well with the way I work.
