This linocut is printed on prepared, painted mulberry paper, with a touch of gold in the background that turns this movement into something luminous.
The print feels like music—simple and pure—where wind, gesture, and image seem to move together in one flow.
The movements we make can be inspiring to others. Even small shifts in direction can open space again—for nature, for balance, for connection with the world we are inseparably part of.
mulberry paper
Mulberry paper is made from the inner bark of the mulberry tree. The bark can be harvested without cutting the tree down, as it grows back over time, which makes it a sustainable material.
I love to work with this paper because it has a natural, soft feel and a slightly irregular texture. to me it looks a bit like silk — a comparison that makes sense when you think about how silkworms feed on the leaves of the mulberry tree.
For me, it’s a simple, honest material that fits well with the way I work.
