This work is grounded in the shift between longing and presence—between the wish to become elsewhere and the realisation of simply being here.
The words “Elsewhere is always here” invite a closer look at the present moment and a quiet connection with it. Beauty is not something distant; it is already present, waiting to be noticed.
mulberry paper
Mulberry paper is made from the inner bark of the mulberry tree. The bark can be harvested without cutting the tree down, as it grows back over time, which makes it a sustainable material.
I love to work with this paper because it has a natural, soft feel and a slightly irregular texture. to me it looks a bit like silk — a comparison that makes sense when you think about how silkworms feed on the leaves of the mulberry tree.
For me, it’s a simple, honest material that fits well with the way I work.
