This work explores the looping nature of thought—how the mind reflects on itself, returns to itself, and sometimes becomes caught in its own movement. It is a quiet yet intense meditation on awareness: the moment you notice that you are thinking about thinking.
The composition translates this mental rhythm into a visual language of repetition, tension, and pause. What emerges is both simple and complex at the same time—a space where thought becomes visible, and where stillness can be sensed within the movement of the mind.
A philosophical image about consciousness, reflection, and the fragile distance between thought and awareness.
mulberry paper
Mulberry paper is made from the inner bark of the mulberry tree. The bark can be harvested without cutting the tree down, as it grows back over time, which makes it a sustainable material.
I love to work with this paper because it has a natural, soft feel and a slightly irregular texture. to me it looks a bit like silk — a comparison that makes sense when you think about how silkworms feed on the leaves of the mulberry tree.
For me, it’s a simple, honest material that fits well with the way I work.
