Lokta paper is a unique, handmade paper from Nepal, crafted from the inner bark of the Lokta plant, which grows in the Himalayan highlands. Unlike machine-made paper, Lokta paper is 100% natural, unbleached, and often decorated by hand with prints or painted designs.

The production process is entirely manual and environmentally friendly. The bark is carefully harvested without harming the plant, allowing it to regenerate. It is then boiled, processed into pulp, spread into sheets, and dried in the sun before being colored or decorated.
