This multicoloured linocut is a vibrant celebration of being human in the full spectrum of colour. The first layer is spray-painted, forming a lively base from which the image unfolds.
A woman bends forward and looks directly at the viewer. Her body is rendered in black and white, yet covered with coloured dots—suggesting that identity cannot be reduced to a single tone or surface.
The work plays with contrast and perception in an open and accessible way.
Bhutan Paper
Traditional Bhtanese paper or Deb-sho paper is produced from the inner bark of the Daphne papyracea and related to the Daphne Biholua shrubs that grow in the Himalayas. This durable, insect resistant paper has been made in Bhutan for centuries and was historically used for Buddhist manuscripts, prayer flags and official documents.
